Fundamentals of Drawing Part 1

Monica is a Classical Realist trained in the methods of the Old Masters and applies this to her nostalgic works of art. She paints a wide variety of subject matter, but enjoys the challenges that come along with painting people and animals the most. She prefers the Flemish method of oil painting using black oil and ground pigments.Her work is part of both private & business collections, as well as murals which can be found primarily in the Northeast. In addition, she teaches private & group art lessons, including Paint & Sip events either at your home or a prearranged location. Bridal showers, friends night out, bachelorette parties, team building events are a few of the classes available.

Whether you are a novice or have rusty drawing skills, this class will create a more solid foundation for you to build on.

This course will introduce students to the basics of drawing and composition through a series of exercises including perspective, value, line or cross hatching &amp; different shading techniques.
 We will also draw from various still-life&#x27;s.Materials you need to bring:
•	HB &amp; F pencils
•	11 x 14 Sketch book – smooth, hot press, acid free (spiral bound is ideal)
•	White artist eraser
Kits are available for $20.00 Let me know 7 days prior to class, if you need one
