Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region, and online through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face, let us know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But, by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video form. For Zoom classes we occassionally announce if we elecet to record- please let your host or faciliator know if you do not want to be recorded.)

We’re excited to be in our new space in March so we’ve decided to mix Thursdays up a bit! Join Sonya Verma and Cincinnati area guest facilitators for a variety of body classes of dance, martial arts, yoga and different ways to mindfully move, express and reconnect to the body. We know that the body keeps score and that what is not transformed is transmitted… so join us for personal healing that helps us show up with intention and courage in our wider city. These drop-in classes will be accessible for beginners and have opportunities for going deeper if you already have a regular practice. We hope this will also introduce more Hive members to the variety of modalities for body-based work so you can find the practice that best suits you. We aren’t going to share who is leading which week until the week before, just to keep it alive- come to all of them and make new friends and add some spontaneity to the gray late winter days.

Sonya Verma is a yoga instructor, meditation coach and Reiki Master. Prior to her journey as a yoga instructor she earned her B.S. in Human Nutrition and Masters in Healthcare Administration and Business Informatics. During her time in school and working in the healthcare industry, yoga and meditation became a cornerstone of her life and helped her stay healthy in mind, body and spirit. She felt drawn to different modalities of healing and went deeper into her practice which inspired her to share her passion with others. When Sonya is not teaching yoga or training she enjoys spending quality time with her husband Daniel and two lovely kittens Bodhi and Willow. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, cooking, hiking and traveling.
