BuDS Workshop: Making Eelgrass Nets

Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program has been “giving back to the bays” since 1985. As regional leaders in all aspects of coastal and marine research and restoration on Long Island, we have been able to make significant progress in enhancing the health of our local waterways. Through the Back to the Bays Initiative we work at the community level with local supporters and stewards to provide meaningful opportunities for involvement in this important work.

Stewardship - the act of caring for the natural environment. These workshops allow citizens of all ages to participate in the habitat and shellfish restoration efforts of CCE Marine Program. Become a Steward at backtothebays.org/stewardship.

Blue Carbon Events

Programs centered around the importance of marine habitats in carbon sequestrations and mitigating climate change.
Funded and in partnership with the South Shore Estuary Reserve Program.
