Early Interventions for First Episode Psychosis

The focus of this virtual learning series is to enhance the services pre-existing First Episode Psychosis teams provide, as well as to build awareness and education in areas of the state without current FEP teams.

In this course, presented by Michael Sibley, M.Div., BCC, KLPC, participants will learn about: · Religion vs. Spirituality · Healthy Faith vs. Religious Pathology · Stages of Faith Development and Psychiatric Patients · Types of Delusions · Substance and Origins of Delusions · Treatment Considerations and Outcomes · Potential Pitfalls for the Clinician · Practical Interventions Strategies Kentucky currently has nine Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) teams across the state, serving young people with or at risk of First Episode Psychosis (FEP). These teams are called iHOPE (Helping Others Pursue Excellence).This training is made possible by Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) funds through Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. Attendance is free.
