Since May 2012, GetClassical has been producing salon-style concerts with the intention of creating a space for classical music in New York City's night life, in spaces like the Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar and the historic India House, Yamaha Salon and Louis Meisel Gallery, LPR, Zinc Bar and Sparkill's Union Arts Center.This season, GetClassical tries to adress the young generation, bringing great and charismatic performers to the classroom, and the classroom to the concert. With concerts held at St.John's in the Village and the German Consulate General, we build a platform with school visits and concerts, free for under 18 years old. All performers are also part of our outreach program GetClassical In School, and create an encounter in a NYC school classroom, to inspire the next generation.Curated and produced by music journalist (MCANA) Ilona Oltuski

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">The only pianist currently performing Liszt's 24 Etudes as a single program and one of few to tout a <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/repertoire" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">concerto list that features over 60 works</A>, Asiya Korepanova is a pianistic powerhouse and rapidly rising star. A result of her uncompromising dedication to the arts, Ms. Korepanova is recognized not only for her achievements as a pianist, but also for her work as a transcriber, composer, visual artist, and poet.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"> Asiya’s contributions to the solo piano literature —including her historic solo piano transcription of <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/r-strauss-ein-heldenleben" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Richard Strauss’ “Ein Heldenleben” </A>and that of <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/rachsonata3" TARGET="_self" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rachmaninoff 's Cello Sonata</A>—have given her a place among today’s formidable transcribers.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"> A number of her transcriptions have been recorded through her YouTube vlog project, <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/midnight-pieces" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">'Midnight Pieces'</A>. Launched in September, 2017, Asiya shares 53 performances of short works. Among these are well-known works, Russian compositions, obscure works, and original transcriptions. Uninhibited in her artistic expression, Asiya's communicative desires have culminated in several projects featuring original poetry and visual art that serve as an interpretive commentary to a particular cycle of works for the piano. These cycles include <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/euphoria-after-liszt" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Liszt’s Transcendental Etudes, </A><A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/bach-wtc-book-i" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier</A> and <A HREF="https://www.asiyakorepanova.com/tchaikovsky-album-op-72" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tchaikovsky’s 18 Morceaux, Op. 72</A>. Asiya's live performances of these compositions have astounded audiences and organizers alike.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">In 2017 Asiya founded <A HREF="http://www.festivalbaltimore.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">‘Festival Baltimore’</A>, a two-week chamber music series and summer academy dedicated to the performance and study of complete cycles. Rapidly growing in reputation, festival has already solidified its reputation as a highly original musical series and academy.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Furthering this effort, Ms. Korepanova founded <A HREF="http://www.musicforminds.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">'Music for Minds'</A>, a non-profit organization that serves to promote classical performances in classrooms as well as to found and support music festivals featuring unique programming.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Asiya was born in Izhevsk, Russia, to a musical family. She began to learn piano when she was 4 years old from her mother, her first piano teacher. She was taught to read music in orchestral clefs by her father, an exemplary composer, at the age of 6, and started composing her own music. At 9, she made her orchestral debut, playing Mozart's Concerto No.8 with her own cadenza, and performed her first philharmonic recital.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Her love for new music has come effortlessly as a result of her early bond with composition. She was invited to premiere 3 piano concertos by Vladislav Kazenin and Shamil Timerbulatov, with the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra, the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Additionally, she has presented the premiere performance of various works by Matthew Evan Taylor, Michael Daugherty, Thomas Sleeper and Orlando Garcia. Throughout her formative years in Russia, Ms. Korepanova received various awards for her prodigious abilities. These include the Russian Federation’s President Award for “Exceptional Achievement in the Arts”. the National Award from the Republic of Udmurtia (2002), Germany’s Berliner Salon Award (2003), and Russia’s Youth Triumph Award (2005), the title of 'Honored Artist of Udmurtia' (2009) and earned her right as the Moscow Philharmonic Society's artist. In 2012, Asiya moved to the United States at the invitation of renowned pianist, Santiago Rodriguez. Later that year, she was awarded the Gold Medal at the Nina Wideman International Piano Competition – an accolade which proved invaluable in the establishment of her concertizing career in the U.S.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">She has since continued to garner national attention with performances at the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, the Bargemusic Series, the Phillips Collection, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Series, the International Miami Piano Festival, and countless others. Ms. Korepanova has been featured on CNN, NPR stations, WFMT, and WETA.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">In addition to her busy schedule concertizing as a soloist and chamber musician, Asiya eagerly anticipates the release of her historic Rachmaninoff record—which includes his piano sonatas along with her transcription of his cello sonata—and the release of a DVD—which features her performance at Tchaikovsky’s birthplace—issued by the Russian government.</P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         Israeli Born Cellist Yoni Draiblate<I> </I>began his musical education at the age of 5, entering the Giva’tayim onservatory at the age of 7. Yoni has appeared in prestigious festivals and stages around the world, such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Theatre, Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall in Boston, The Kimmel Center, Teatro Colón, the Berlin Philharmonie, Disney Hall, Luzern Festival, Stockholm Festival, Ravello Festival and more.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         As a soloist, Yoni appeared with the Israel Philharmonic, the Tel Aviv Soloists ensemble, Israel Kamerata, the Buchman-Mehta Symphony, Symphony in C, Temple University Symphony orchestra, Prometheus Ensemble and others. </P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         Yoni has toured the United States, Europe and South America with orchestras such as the West Eastern-Divan, ‘iPalpiti” orchestra, The Israel Philharmonic and more.  Hecollaborated with Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim, Pierre Boulèz, Kurt Mazur, Gustavo Dudamel, Branford Marsalis, Lambert Orkis and other renowned artists. He had participated in Master classes with Janos Starker, Bernard Greenhouse, Gary Hoffman, Laurence Lesser, Uzi Wiesel, Alban Berg Quartet, Borromeo Quartet, Heinrich Schiff, Natalia Guttman, Frans Helmerson, and Shanghai Quartet. </P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         Yoni is the former principal cellist of Symphony in C and the Haifa Symphony, and former Associate principal of the Annapolis Symphony orchestra. He also appeared as a guest principal cellist with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         Dr. Draiblate is the Co-founder and artistic director of<I>“Music Transforms”</I><I>,</I> a benefit concert series focusing on raising funds for a music program in Southwest Philadelphia. Now in its 6th season, <I>Music Transforms</I> has featured world-renowned artists such as Branford Marsalis, Simone Dinnerstein, Ricardo Morales, <I>Artolerance</I>and others</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         In addition to his private studio, Mr. Draiblate is on the faculty of Doylestown Conservatory, and has given Master classes in the Pennsylvania and Delaware.  After completing his Military service with the IDF, Yoni earned his Bachelors of Music degree from Tel-Aviv University, a Masters of Music degree from New England Conservatory and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Temple University. </P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">         Yoni is playing on a 2015 copy of the famous 1707 “Countess of Stanlein Ex-Paganini” Stradivarius Cello. <P CLASS="MsoNormal">Hailed as “an extremely gifted violinist with a strong stage personality and charisma,” Netanel Draiblate has concertized across four continents. The versatile artist performs as a soloist, chamber musician and recording artist and has been called “a violinist who combines confidence and virtuosity with a playful musical personality “by The Washington Post.</P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Season highlights include performances of Jim Stephenson’s violin concerto Tributes with the Lake Forest Symphony, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra featuring his own cadenza, Lou Harrison’s Suite for Violin, Piano and Chamber Orchestra with the Post-Classical Ensemble in Washington, D.C., and Coriglianos’ The Red Violin Chaconne with the Annapolis Symphony. Recent engagements include appearances with the American Symphony at Carnegie Hall, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Brasilia Concert Society Orchestra and Turkey’s Bursa Symphony Orchestra. He marked his second summer as artist in residence at the Aruba Symphony Festival where he was featured in Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe and appeared as soloist with the AACC Symphony Orchestra in their Kennedy Center debut as part of the Capital Orchestra Festival. Draiblate has also performed with the Ashdod, Rishon Le Zion and Mediterranean Symphony Orchestras. Next season he will be featured in Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins with the Lake Forest Symphony. He has also appeared as soloist with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra on a tour throughout China. </P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">As a chamber musician, Draiblate has collaborated with Pinchas Zukerman, Yo-Yo Ma, ltzhak Perlman, Jaime Laredo and Cho Liang Lin, performing in many of the world’s premiere venues. Last season he performed with members of the New York Philharmonic as part of the Lancaster International Piano Festival and served on its’ faculty and was featured on a special concert for the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Draiblate made his Canadian debut last season and performed on the Friday Music Series at Georgetown. Draiblate tours with his duo partner, pianist Lura Johnson, as Times Two in a program dedicated to Brahms,and continues to explore the lesser known works for violin/piano duo. He led a string quartet in a special program celebrating the 50thanniversary of German-Israeli diplomatic relations at Carnegie Hall, with an encore performance in Washington, DC for the Embassy Series.  He made his Ravinia debut in this same program last summer.</P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Perspectives, Draiblate’s debut solo recording was recognized by American Record Guide as “very exciting and engaging. “The recording features works by Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Elgar, Grieg and Kreisler. Future projects include a recording of Draiblate’s original arrangement of Introduction/Theme and Variations on The Star Spangled Banner for solo violin and an encore disc with Johnson. </P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">A sought-after teacher, Draiblate currently serves as the Director of Chamber Music at Georgetown University, is the Founder and Director of the Annapolis Symphony Academy and serves on the faculty of the Annapolis Young Artists Program and The Levine School serving greater metro-DC area. This summer he was a faculty member of the 12thannual Dali Quartet International Music Festival and in summer of 2019 will serve on the faculty of the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has held faculty positions and led master classes at Towson University, Goiania University (Brazil), Brasilia University (Brazil), Recife Conservatory (Brazil), the Holon Young Artists Festival (Israel) and has previously taught at the West Branch International Festival, the Endless Mountain Music Festival, for the World Youth Orchestra and the Campina-Grande International Music Festival in Brazil.  </P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Recognized as a violinist whose artistry “combines confidence and eloquence,” Draiblate is currently concertmaster of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Lake Forest Symphony and the Washington, DC based PostClassical Ensemble whose mission is to perform works created after 1900.  He has also served as concertmaster for Tel-Aviv Soloists, the World Youth Orchestra, Israel Young Philharmonic, and held a leading position with the historic West Eastern Divan Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Daniel Barenboim. </P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal"> In 2012 Draiblate created ND-Publishing to publish his original compositions as well as cadenzas for celebrated concertos. Last season saw the world premiere of his newly published Beethoven and Brahms Violin Concerti cadenzas. </P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">In celebration of the Oslo Accords fourth anniversary, Draiblate performed in a special concert hosted by the King of Norway.  His awards include first prize at the Jerusalem Academy Solo Competition (1998), the Ben-Haim Competition (1995), finalist at the Young Artists Competition in Haifa (1999), and a major prize in the Peabody Conservatory's Yale Gordon Competition (2006).  He was the first violinist to be supported by the Ilona Feher Foundation and performed in the foundation’s Gala concert at Carnegie Hall.  Early in his career he was honored to play on the personal violin of Ms. Feher. Scholarships have been awarded to him from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Ronen Foundation, the Barenboim-Said Foundation, the Buchman Haiman Foundation and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.  As child, Draiblate was asked to play for Isaac Stern during a master class in Jerusalem.  Following the class, Stern arranged to give a 7/8 violin to him with a note saying “he would like me to have it until I grew out of it.”</P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Draiblate studied with the renowned Pamela Frank, Vali Blutner, Hagai Shaham, Shmuel Ashkenasi and David Salness, and has participated in master classes with Isaac Stern, Dorothy Delay, Pinchas Zukerman, Zachar Bron and Miriam Fried.  </P>
