The monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery present:"The Psychology of Enlightenment" Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at Unity of Buffalo FREE Parking behind the church!The mind determines how we experience our life and how we evolve as individuals. Agenda

Tara is perhaps the most popular feminine manifestation of all the Buddhas. Known to have been born from the tears of Avaloketishvara, the Buddha of compassion, she is believed to have made a strong pledge and commitment to rescue those in dire need of enlightened support and blessings especially in times of difficulties. Hence, she is popularly worshipped for her swift bestowals of wish fulfilling grace and energy.

There are traditions among the Tibetan lay community to request Tara pumas for welfare and comfort of an individual, family and society on a regular basis. A blessing of Tara is considered especially effective and appropriate for a person who may be seeing success and fulfilment of a virtuous mission.
