<h1>Please join us for a Mental Health First Aid training class on Monday and Tuesday, July 22nd and 23rd, 2024 @ 110 E Pennington St, Tucson, AZ</h1><p><br></p><p>This class is free to attend and offered to those who live in Pima County. You must be at least 18 years old to attend the class.</p><p>There is pre-work that is due at least 3 days before the in person class. You will receive an email with the instructions at least a week before the pre-work is due. Attendance is required both days to receive a certificate. The class runs from 12:30pm - 4:30pm MST each day. </p><p>Mental health first aid is a training program designed to teach individuals how to provide initial support and assistance to someone experiencing a mental health crisis or struggling with a mental health issue. Similar to traditional first aid for physical health, mental health first aid equips people with the knowledge and skills to recognize signs of distress, offer appropriate help, and guide the affected person toward professional care if necessary. It aims to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and promote early intervention and understanding.</p>
