Season Series: Wine & Cheese on the Veranda

The Park-McCullough House is one of the finest, most significant, and best preserved Victorian Mansions in New England. It is an important example of a country house in the Second Empire Style and incorporates architectural features of the Romantic Revival style that were popular at the time. To a great extent, the House retains the integrity and impact of its original design. Built in 1864-65 by attorney and entrepreneur Trenor Park, the House was designed by Henry Dudley, a prolific New York architect.Our cultural programming happens in (almost) every season. On our grounds and in our structures, we host a classical music series, a summer croquet league, membership meetings, theater productions, readings, dinners, and other public events.Green manicured lawns, radiant flowers and topiary, makes the house one of the most verdant places to hold your wedding or event. For weddings, this Victorian mansion is regarded among the most romantic places to tie the knot.

Join friends and new acquaintances for a casual gathering on the exquisite Park-McCullough veranda. In consultation with our esteemed friends at couch + cork, the staff and board are pleased to host four evening gatherings, complete with a seasonal selection of wines, paired accompaniments, and an inspired non-alcoholic option. Each evening will offer a new menu.This is an open house-style gathering, so feel free to stop by when your schedule allows between the hours of 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Dress for the weather (event is rain or shine, under the protection of the veranda roof).Attend all four events or only the ones you choose. Wine &amp; Cheese gatherings in the 2024 season include June 12, July 10, August 14, and September 18. Ticket prices include two glasses of wine and hors d’oeuvres.
