Is this course beginner friendly?

Yes. There is something for everyone to learn at this class and we encourage a respectful and supportive environment for all of our participants.

Question 2

Do I have to attend the classes in a particular order?

Accepted Answer

No, however, there is a recommended sequence which follows: 1) Lane positioning, rules of the road and different infrastructure across KC (online)
2) Basic skills practice + light maintenance (in-person, on-bike)
3) Hazard avoidance practice + road ride assessment (in-person, on-bike)

Does this class have a fee?

No. In celebration of Bike Month, we are offering these classes at no cost to participants. If you would like to make a donation to support our adult education efforts, you can do so at https://bikewalkkc.org/getinvolved/donate/

Question 4

Is there an age limit?

Accepted Answer

We allow riders as young as 14 so long as they accompanied by a caregiver.
