Workshop: ‘Be Your Own Architect’ with Yuxin Cong (for ages 10–15)

Back by popular demand!History educator Yuxin Cong guides children in the historical context and design process of the Watapuluwa Housing Scheme (1958) by Minnette De Silva (1918–1998). She will encourage the participants to develop processes about their own homes, drawing inspiration from De Silva's user-friendly design principles.This workshop has been curated as part of the Public Programmes of the exhibition ‘88 Acres: The Watapuluwa Housing Scheme by Minnette De Silva’, on view until 7 July 2024. This programme is free and all materials will be provided. දැඩි ඉල්ලීම මත නැවතත්!ඉතිහාස අධ්‍යාපනඥ යූශීන් කොං, මිනෙට් ද සිල්වා (1918–1998) විසින් කළ වටපුළුව නිවාස යෝජනා ක්‍රමයේ (1958) ඉතිහාස සන්දර්භය හා නිර්මාණ සැලසුම් ක්‍රියාවලිය හරහා ළමුන්ට මගපෙන්වයි. ද සිල්වාගේ පරිශීලක-හිතකාමී නිර්මාණ මූලධර්මවල අභාසිතයෙන් තමන්ගේ ම නිවෙස් පිළිබඳ ක්‍රියාවලි ගොඩ නැගීමට ඇය සහභාගිවන්නන්ව දිරි ගන්වයි.මෙම වැඩමුළුව 2024 ජූලි 7 දක්වා නැරඹීමට ඇති ‘අක්කර 88: මිනෙට් ද සිල්වා විසින් කළ වටපුළුව නිවාස යෝජනා ක්‍රමය’ ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ මහජන වැඩසටහන්වල කොටසක් ලෙස අභිරක්ෂණයකර ඇත. பல்லார்வ வேண்டுகோளுக்கு இணங்க மீண்டும்!வரலாற்று கல்வியாளர் யுசின் கோங் மினெட் டி சில்வாவின் வடபுழுவ வீட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் (1958) வரலாறு மற்றும் வடிவமைப்பு முறையை சிறுவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைப்பார். பங்கேற்பாளர்களை அவர்களின் வசிப்பிடத்தை மினெட் டி சில்வாவின் (1918–1998) வரைபடங்களை தழுவி வரைய வழிகாட்டுவார்.7 ஜூலை 2024 வரை பார்வைக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ‘88 ஏக்கர்கள்: மினெட் டி சில்வாவின் வடபுழுவ வீட்டுத் திட்டம்’ கண்காட்சியின் பொது நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் ஒன்றாக இப்பயிற்சிப்பட்டறை தொகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
