Workshop: ‘Creating a Stamp of Minnette’ with Kiyawana Muddara (for ages 18 and above))

Why is there no stamp of Minnette De Silva (1918–1998)? Can we commemorate her and her life with stamps? Join Niroshana and Viranga Peiris of Kiyawana Muddara as they delve into the history of women in stamps, and remember Minnette from stamps of her time.This workshop has been curated as part of the Public Programmes of the exhibition ‘88 Acres: The Watapuluwa Housing Scheme by Minnette De Silva’, on view until 7 July 2024. This programme is free and all materials will be provided. මිනෙට් ද සිල්වාගේ (1918–1998) මුද්දරයක් නැත්තේ ඇයි? අපිට ඇයව සහ ඇයගේ දිවිය මුද්දරවලින් සැමරිය හැකි ද? කියවන මුද්දරහි නිරෝශන සහ විරංගා පීරිස් සමග එකතුවී, මුද්දරවල කාන්තාවන්ගේ ඉතිහාසය සොයා බලමින් මිනෙට්ව ඇගේ කාලයේ මුද්දරවලින් සිහිපත් කරන්න.2024 ජූලි 7 දක්වා සංදර්ශිත ‘අක්කර 88: මිනෙට් ද සිල්වා විසින් කළ වටපුළුව නිවාස යෝජනා ක්‍රමය’ ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ මහජන වැඩසටහන්වල කොටසක් ලෙස මෙම වැඩමුළුව ලබා දෙනු ලැබේ. මෙම වැඩසටහන නොමිලේ වන අතර සියලු ද්‍රව්‍ය (කැමරාවක් හැර) සපයනු ලැබේ. மினெட் டி சில்வாவிற்கு (1918–1998) ஏன் முத்திரை வெளியிடப்படவில்லை? முத்திரை வெளியிட்டு அவரையும் அவரது வாழ்வையும் நாம் நினைவு கூரலாமா? முத்திரைகளில் பெண்கள் என்ற வரலாற்றை ஆராய்ந்து, மினெட்டை அவரது காலத்து முத்திரைகள் ஊடாக நினைவு கூரும் நிரோஷன மற்றும் விரங்கா பீரிஸ் (கியவண முத்தர) உடன் இணைந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். 7 ஜூலை 2024 வரை பார்வைக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ‘88 ஏக்கர்கள்: மினெட் டி சில்வாவின் வடபுழுவ வீட்டுத் திட்டம்’ கண்காட்சியின் பொது நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் ஒன்றாக இப்பயிற்சிப்பட்டறை தொகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
