<h3>Civic Impact Academy Info Session</h3> Note: Date Changed to Friday, June 14th at Noon EST. We’d like to formally invite you to our first Civic Impact Academy virtual event.In a lunch-and-learn style webinar, we will introduce the Civic Impact Academy mission and describe the learning format. We will also answer frequently asked questions and shed light on what our Civic Impact Academy will look like.The session will be recorded. <h4>Who should join the academy and what will they learn?</h4>We are curating a 20-person cohort made of 10 community leaders and 10 government leaders (front-line and management staff).Community Leaders<ul><li>Social Impact Entrepreneurs</li><li>Activists &amp; Organizers</li><li>Community Volunteers</li><li>Neighborhood Leaders</li><li>Coalition Leaders</li><li>Non Profit Program Staff</li></ul>Government Leaders<ul><li>Planning Departments</li><li>Communication</li><li>Transportation</li><li>Budget Departments</li><li>Park and Recreation</li><li>Policy Makers</li></ul>Curriculum will cover a range of topics including understanding power dynamics in advocacy, local historical context, understanding government systems, local government budgeting, media relations, and storytelling.
