"I Love U Guys” Standard Response Protocol and Reunification Method

The New York State Education Department (NYSED), in collaboration with the national not-for-profit “I Love U Guys” Foundation, has developed a New York-specific version of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and the Standard Reunification Method (SRM), that incorporates specifics about New York’s laws and regulations. This livestreamed, train-the-trainer workshop will introduce the history, concepts, and functionality of the SRP and the SRM, including implementation of the programs, team training, and advanced questions.The workshop will be held two consecutive days with September 30th, 2024 covering the SRP and October 1st, 2024 covering SRM. **Participants must register for, and be able to attend both sessions.Participants will come away from this workshop able to train others within their organization on the SRP and the SRM.Note: This workshop is for New York’s school, district, and BOCES personnel involved in the development and implementation of school and district safety plans, including superintendents and principals of K-12 schools, and district Chief Emergency Officers.Date: Monday, September 30th, 2024 and Tuesday, October 1st, 2024Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pmLocation: Livestreamed Virtual Event; Zoom information will be provided to registrants the morning of the workshop.This workshop is FREE for New York’s school, district and BOCES personnel involved in the development and implementation of school and district safety plans, including superintendents and principals of K-12 schools and district Chief Emergency Officers.Capacity is limited; priority for attendance will be given to school staff.
