Will there be a land-side party this year?

No. There will be no land-side activities for the 4th of July Fireworks Blast this year.

Question 2

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

Parking will be located in the Patriots Point parking lot for TICKET HOLDERS ONLY. Please note that parking is limited. Many families choose to arrive early to tour the museum and then stay for the Fourth of July Fireworks Blast event.

Question 3

Are separate pricing options available for children or military/veterans?

Accepted Answer

No. All guests over the age of one will need their own ticket.

Question 4

If I purchase a museum ticket during the day, what time will I have to leave?

Accepted Answer

The museum will close at 3:00 p.m., with the last ticket being sold at 2:00 p.m. Only event ticket-holders will be allowed to keep their car parked in the lot after this time.

Question 5

Are pets allowed?

Accepted Answer

Except for service animals, no pets are permitted onboard the USS Yorktown for the event. Owners of service animals should be aware that the surface of the flight deck can get very hot in high temperatures during the summer.

Question 6

Will tables and chairs be provided?

Accepted Answer

No seating will be provided; guests are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs. A limited number of tables will be available in the food court area in Hangar Bay 3.

Question 7

Are coolers and wagons allowed?

Accepted Answer

No. Coolers and outside food/beverages are not allowed. Wheelchairs and strollers are the only wheeled items permitted on the ship.
