<P>Bring a bit of the jungle into your home! Join <A HREF="http://www.rockpaperplant.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>Rock Paper Plant</SPAN></A> for a botanical evening learning how to mount and care for orchids. In their natural environment, many orchids grow on rocks or trees, not in the pots you see at the garden store. The founders, Alicia and Cielo will show you how to grow these plants vertically with a little bit of moss and tree bark. You will leave with a beautiful living wall hanging and all the knowledge needed to keep it alive.</P>
<P><STRONG>WHAT YOU'LL LEARN</STRONG>: In this workshop, you will learn:</P>

<P>Learn how to pick a healthy orchid from the store and assess its roots</P>
</LI>

<P>Understand the fundamentals of orchid care -- light, watering, and how to encourage new flowers -- for moth orchids, the most commonly available type of orchid</P>

<P>Discover the special properties of orchids that make it possible to grow them mounted on bark</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Make and take home their own orchid mounted to a piece of lightweight, sustainably-sourced cork bark<BR></P>
</LI>

<P><STRONG>ABOUT ROCK PAPER PLANT</STRONG>:  Alicia and Cielo, are the two ladies behind <A HREF="http://rockpaperplant.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>Rock Paper Plant</SPAN></A>. By day, they are non-profit unicorns and makers and teachers on nights and weekends. They firmly believe that everyone can benefit from tapping into their creative side. In addition,  they also believe in the power of plants and that bringing the outdoors in makes everyone happier and healthier. The two founded Rock Paper Plant to share these values with the fine folks of Washington, DC. </P>
<P>Rock Paper Plant teaches public and private workshops throughout the DMV. Alicia and Cielo have taught at The Lemon Collective, REWILD, Femme Fatale DC, Flow Yoga Center, Common Good City Farm, and Steadfast Supply.
