2.	I am a business that would like to apply as a vendor. How soon do I have to apply?

Accepted Answer

The deadline to apply to become a vendor at the Reparations Summit is September 1.

Question 3

3.	How do I ensure that my application is approved?

Accepted Answer

At a minimum, all businesses that plan to sell items must be registered as a business with the State Department of their state and have a seller’s permit account to collect sales taxes. Businesses in services such as tax preparation, law, or even finance must have a business license in good standing

4a.	What if I don’t have a seller’s permit? Can I still apply to be a vendor?

Accepted Answer

For your application to be approved, you will need the Seller's Louisiana Account Number and the "Seller's Business Name" as registered under the Louisiana Department of Revenue. We advise applicants to obtain this information before the application.

4b. Where do I go to attain my sellers permit for the state of Louisiana

Accepted Answer

You can go to the following website for information on setting up your seller's account: https://www.revenue.louisiana.gov/SalesTax/ResaleCertificate

5.	Will I have paperwork to complete?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You will have to sign the terms and conditions for your application to be complete. The paperwork for the vendor application will be sent no later than the week of September 8.

6.	How long will I have to complete the paperwork?

Accepted Answer

You will have thirty (10) days to complete the paperwork upon receipt. Note that these days are not business days. This timespan means that the deadline for the completion of the paperwork for vendors that receive their paperwork by September 1  is September 11.

7.	What happens if I don’t complete the paperwork by the deadline?

You will lose your vendor booth and will forfeit all funds that have been paid towards your vendor booth and amenities if selected.

8.	Does ADOSAF provide refunds for cancellations?

Accepted Answer

Yes, ADOSAF provides refunds for cancellations that are sixty days before the National Reparations Summit. This date is July 10.

Question 10

9a.	What about additional amenities or making changes?

Accepted Answer

You will have thirty (30) business days before the Reparations Summit to attain additional amenities. The deadline for purchasing additional amenities is September 3. After this date, all sales are final including the selection of amenities.

9b. What about additional amenities or making changes (if I am on the waiting list)

Accepted Answer

If you become a vendor on the waiting list, you will have to purchase your vendor booth and amenities (if applicable) in addition to completing the paperwork within five business days of a vendor booth becoming available through either cancellation or forfeiture. All sales are final after 9/14.

10.	I am a food vendor. Can I participate?

Accepted Answer

No. The current hotel for the Reparations Summit does not accept food or drink vendors within the hotel or in the vicinity of the hotel. Free samples in the form of drink, snacks, or any form for such consumption is also not allowed.

11. 	As a business, do I need to be insured?

Accepted Answer

All venders are expected to have insurance in line with the liabilities that are associated with their business. For more information, please see the terms and conditions of the vendor application.

12.	When and how do I find out about the loading times,  booth locations, and parking?

Accepted Answer

This information will be provided in your welcome packet after the submission of paperwork during the week of September 22.

Question 15

13.	Is parking included in the vendor Community Sponsorship Package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ADOSAF will provide instructions on how to attain your parking pass within the welcome packet.
