AVAM's White Elephant Barn Sale - Cancelled

THE AMERICAN VISIONARY ART MUSEUM (AVAM)is America's official national museum and education center for self-taught, intuitive artistry. Since its opening in 1995, the museum has sought to promote the recognition of intuitive, self-reliant, creative contribution as both an important historic and essential living piece of treasured human legacy. The one-of-a-kind American Visionary Art Museum is located on a 1.1 acre wonderland campus at 800 Key Highway, Baltimore Inner Harbor. Three renovated historic industrial buildings house wonders created by farmers, housewives, mechanics, retired folk, the disabled, the homeless, as well as the occasional neurosurgeon—all inspired by the fire within. From carved roots to embroidered rags, tattoos to toothpicks, the visionary transforms dreams, loss, hopes, and ideals into powerful works of art.

To protect the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and the community at large, the American Visionary Art Museum will temporarily close Saturday, March 14-Tuesday, March 31. Additionally, public programs are cancelled through Sunday, April 12*. These cancellations include AVAM's White Elephant Barn Sale, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 7am-11am. Currently, there is no rescheduled date for it. Should this change, we will post updates on our website and social media. Calling all bargain hunters: Don't miss the American Visionary Art Museum's (once in a blue moon) white elephant rummage sale on Saturday, March 14, 7am-11am. Help us clear out our hoard & get your hands on books, cards, publications, office supplies, furniture, retro AVAM & Kinetic Sculpture Race memorabilia, plenty of art fixins, and loads more. It's a picker's paradise! Free and open to the public. Cash and credit cards accepted. All proceeds benefit AVAM. Bring your own bag and fill it to the brim with some really sweet bargains!
