Join the Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial Fund Committee in honoring Harford County's only native Medal of Honor recipient on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

The evening begins at 4:30PM with a Ceremony at the Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial at David R. Craig Park, 553-559 North Union Avenue, Havre de Grace. We will raise a replica of the US Flag that was presented to Sgt. Hilton's unit just before they went off to fight.

At 5:30PM, we will convene at short distance away at the Seaplane Base, 309 St John St, Havre De Grace to continue our memorial activities. The fundraiser will feature our guest speakers, MG (R) Randy Taylor and Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin, a bountiful dinner buffet, soft drinks and open bar, musical entertainment, and a silent auction.

All funds raised from this event will go towards the Annual Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Scholarship, which is awarded through Harford Community College. Additionally, funds raised will support the Harford County United States Colored Troops (USCT) Grave Preservation Project and will support education of the public about Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton.
