8(a) Business Development Program (Webinar) 

The SBA South Carolina District Office is responsible for the delivery of SBA's programs and services throughout the Palmetto State. The District Office also partners with state economic development organizations to provide South Carolina small businesses with assistance and further business opportunities through events, presentations and educational materials.

Do you meet all three of the requirements below? If so, you may be a good candidate for the 8(a) Business Development Program for Federal Government Contracting Opportunities! 
1. In Business for at least two years?
2. Socially Disadvantaged (in a minority group)?
3. Economically Disadvantaged (personal net worth below $250K)?
Learn about 8(a) Business Development Program, a nine-year program for socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses that have been in business for at least two years. This class may help you gain a foothold in federal government contracting. Includes an overview of the benefits of the program, program eligibility, and the application process.

 (Note: Program works best in Internet Explorer. Recommended screen resolution is 1280 x 1020.) 2.      Select either the Windows-based (recommended) or Web-based participant application. (Selecting the recommended Windows-based application may prompt a download of the AT&T Connect application.) 3.      Enter your first name, last name and email address.  If you do not want other participants to see your first and last name, just enter Registered for your first name and Participant for your last name.  (Participants will not be able to see email addresses.) 4.      Once you enter the web conference, you will be prompted to select your audio device (the way in which you want to hear the conference).  You have several options:

<LI>Select “Call me” and enter your phone number; AT&T Connect (the webinar hosting program) will then call you immediately.</LI>
<LI>Select “Dial in” and follow the telephone instructions given. (The toll free number given will be 888-858-2144 and the access code given will be 84162318)</LI>
<LI>Select “Voice over computer” in order to participate over your computer speakers and microphone.</LI>

(These login instructions are based on a participant using a Windows desktop or laptop computer. For users with other devices or operating systems, the specific prompts may differ slightly.)
