Sussex LWV 2024 Annual Meeting

Join us for the Sussex LWV 2024 Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time). This in-person event will be held at the Millsboro Public Library, 217 W. State Street, Millsboro, DE 19966.

Let's gather to hear about all of the work we have completed in 2024 and all we have planned for the rest of the year.

In addition, we are pleased to have Bernice M. Edwards, Executive Director of the First State Community Action Agency (FSCAA). Mrs. Edwards has over 40 years of experience in program management and administration in the non-profit and social service field . Formed in 1965 as the Sussex County Community Action Agency by a group of concerned citizens, FSCAA has grown to encompass the entire State, offering a diverse array of programs that target the root causes of poverty.

Whether you're a long-standing member or are new to the League of Women Voters, your attendance matters. This meeting is an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow members, share ideas, and see all of the ways our members contribute to our mission of Empowering Voters and Defending Democracy.

During this event, we will hear from committe chairs on the work we have done this year and upcoming initiatives and we will explore ways to make a positive impact on our community.

We'll have light snacks, but please bring your own lunch!
