"Human Nature" Exclusive Pre-Release Screening with Fireside Chat

The Science Policy Group at UCSF is a coalition of students and post-docs interested in learning more about how scientists can participate in the policy-making process to enhance the scientific research enterprise. We host speakers and workshops to facilitate conversation within the UCSF community on a variety of science policy issues and aim to provide opportunities and tool to scientists interested in building advocacy skills and engaging with science policy.

An exclusive pre-release screening of "Human Nature," a documentary about the biotech revolution CRISPR

Join us on Monday, Feb. 3rd, at 4pm for an exclusive pre-release screening of &quot;Human Nature,&quot; a documentary discussing one of the biggest tech revolutions of the 21st Century: CRISPR. This event features an introduction by the film&#x27;s producers, Dr. Sarah Goodwin and Elliot Kirschner, and a fireside chat, moderated by Dr. Keith Yamamoto, about CRISPR technology and bioethics. Guests include Dr. Fyodor Urnov, Dr. Barbara Koenig, and Dr. Bruce Conklin.This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Science Policy and Strategy and Gladstone Institutes, with support from ASGD.&quot;Human Nature&quot; was produced and directed by the Wonder Collaborative at iBiology, a non-profit organization affiliated with UCSF.Synopsis:From executive producer Dan Rather and director Adam Bolt, the co-writer and editor of the Oscar-winning film Inside Job, comes the story of the biggest tech revolution of the 21st Century.
