Embark on a nighttime, flashlight tour of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail with our exclusive "Rose Hill After Dark" tour. Led by Bill Causey, a devoted member of the OHT committee with a deep passion for Rose Hill Cemetery, and Hailie Poppell, NewTown Macon’s Digital Content Manager, this tour is sure to keep you entertained. As you wander the shadowy paths, illuminated only by flash lights, they will guide you through the next phase of the trail, blending fascinating insights into the cemetery's historical significance. The tour will start promptly at 9pm, leaving from the entrance arch. Tickets are limited to just 40 people. We are asking for a $30 donation per person. _____ About Trails Day and Your SupportCelebrate National Trails Day with us on June 1st, and show your support for Macon's expansive trail system, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail (OHT). This network links parks and historical sites like Amerson River Park and the Ocmulgee Mounds National Park, and provides invaluable recreational and commuting routes for hikers, runners, and bicyclists. All funds raised from our tour ticket sales and any additional donations will directly contribute to the maintenance and development of the OHT.
