About this event

  • 1 hour 15 minutes

Following meetings with Somerset Mental Health Network members and discussions with the Somerset Integrated Care Board, Spark Somerset has been asked to explore how those supporting children and young people in the county envision future services, and whether there are any gaps in the current provision.

At this meeting, we will continue previous conversations around mental health services for children and young people in the county, further shape the direction of this work, and discuss opportunities for collaboration across the sector.

We'll be joined by Michelle Palmer from Youth Unlimited, who'll discuss their new Young Carers in Schools Award, and how we can better support young carers in schools with tools and resources to help them thrive. We will also discuss Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAHMS) in Somerset, and the Single Access Point system for referrals.

Tickets to this event are freely available to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups offering mental health support to children and young people in Somerset.
