I can't make it on the 31st. Can I arrive Friday instead?

Yes! We have Friday passes available that include two nights and six meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch).

Question 2

How do I get to Awaken?

Lake Williamson Christian Center is 75 minutes north of St Louis Lambert International Airport. For those flying, we will offer two airport shuttles on Thursday at 1:30pm and 3:30pm sharp (and return shuttles on Sunday).  All others will need to rent a car, drive your own, or carpool with other men.

What are the accommodations like?

You will be staying in motel style rooms with one or two other people. Triples are cheaper than doubles. Unfortunately there are no singles available unless you have special health concerns that require you to have a single room. Please let us know if this is the case by emailing admin@illuman.org.

Question 4

Can I choose my own roommate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After you register you will be sent a link to the room sign-up form. If there is a man you would like to room with, coordinate this with him first, and then leave his name in the comment box on the room sign-up. He will still also need to sign-up for that same room separately.

Question 5

Can I bring my RV or tent?

Yes! There are plenty of RV spots and we will be offering a lower rate for RV campers. Tent camping is also available for the same price as the RV registration.

Question 6

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Probably. We will be working with the camp to provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, kosher, and halal requirements as needed. Please indicate any special dietary needs when registering.

Question 7

Can I bring my wife/girlfriend?

Accepted Answer

No, the event itself is only for male-identified persons, and, unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are not able to provide housing for wives, girlfriends, or anyone else not registered for the event.

Question 8

Can I bring items to sell/display?

Accepted Answer

Yes! There will be designated space for our Awaken Marketplace where you can sell or display your own original creations (books, art, music, etc.) If you would like to do this, please fill out the submission form that will come in your confirmation email.

Question 9

Are wheelchair accessible rooms available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have a limited number of wheelchair accessible rooms available. Select it as an add-on when you register.

Refund Policy

Accepted Answer

If you need to cancel for any reason, you may request a full refund, less processing fees, at any time prior to the event. Refunds after requested after October 13 will also incur a $100 late-cancellation fee. To request a refund, follow the link in your confirmation email.

By registering for this event, you agree to be added to Illuman's email list,  to receive communications regarding Awaken 2024 and other Illuman programs that may be of interest to you. We promise to never share your information with others.

Do I need to have attended a previous Illuman event or Rites of Passage to attend?

Accepted Answer

No! All men are welcome to attend, even if this is your first Illuman event.
