Heifetz Spring Hootenanny!

Founded in 1996, the Staunton, VA-based Heifetz International Music Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the artistic growth and career development of some of the most talented and promising young musicians in the world. The mission of the Institute is to develop the expressive potential of every performer, through the innovative and cross-disciplinary Heifetz Performance & Communication Training. This method guides young musicians into becoming well-rounded, communicative artists by improving their technical agility and musicianship, self confidence, gestural and verbal communication skills, and leadership capacity both on and off stage. The Institute’s teaching philosophy is that artists express their individuality not only through technically and intellectually robust music making, but also through emotional and even physical engagement with the music they play.

 Ready for a little lift?  Come check out some of your favorite Heifetz stars  and special guests - including Celtic fiddler <A HREF="https://www.heifetzinstitute.org/baroque/heifetz-baroque-faculty/rachell-wong/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rachell Wong</A>, archguitarist <A HREF="https://music.archguitar.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Peter Blanchette</A>, boogie banjoman <A HREF="https://andrewgreenbanjo.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Andrew Green,</A> and our in-house samba sensation <A HREF="https://heifetzpeg.org/about/2020-heifetzpeg-faculty-staff/ana-cristina-abrantes/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ana Abrantes </A> -  in our fourth annual Heifetz Spring Hootenanny.  It's a sprightly sampler of the multi-genre magic that happens every summer under the big Heifetz tent at Mary Baldwin University.
Our chosen spot for the Spring Hoot is <A HREF="https://business.facebook.com/TheAmericanHotelBanquetRoom/?business_id=1323163957735469" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The American Hotel Banquet Room</A>, a fine and funky historic venue in the heart of Staunton, just across from the Amtrak <A HREF="https://business.facebook.com/pages/Staunton-station/116137581766890?business_id=1323163957735469" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Staunton station</A>. In true "Heifetz Hootenanny" style, we'll have great food and beverage on offer to go with the good-times tunes. Proceeds from every ticket, every drink, and every snack purchased go directly to our Shenandoah Scholarship Fund.  It's a great way to ring in spring!

FAQs
Can I use my Season Pass?
Heifetz 2020 Season Passes are valid only for the 2020 summer Festival of Concerts. Heifetz on Tour concerts that happen throughout the year (like the Spring Hootenanny) are not included in that.
