The Schuylkill Action Network's (SAN) mission is to improve water resources through collaborative action in the Schuylkill River Watershed. The SAN seeks to achieve this mission through collaborative actions in partnership with local watershed organizations, land conservation organizations, businesses, academics, water suppliers, recreational communities, local governments, and regional, state, and federal agencies. Action is our middle name, and it’s what makes the SAN a successful national model for source water protection, collaboration, and implementation.The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, which administers the SAN, is committed to providing equal access to information about its programs, including document translation services for all individuals. Join the SAN Pathogens and Point Source + Stormwater Workgroups for a walk &amp; talk along the Manayunk Canal/Schuylkill River Trail to learn about the Philadelphia Water Department's Flat Rock Dam project! This in-person event offers a fantastic opportunity to delve into PWD's ongoing infrastructure rehabilitation efforts to improve water quality, spotlighting GSI at Venice Island Performing Arts Center, the Flat Rock Dam Project and the Freshwater Mussel Reintroduction Pilot Study.Additional DetailsTransportation:<ul><li>By car: Metered parking (approx. $6.50 for 2 hours) is available on site at the Venice Island Performing Arts &amp; Recreation Center. <a href="https://www.dvopera.org/where-we-perform.html" title="https://www.dvopera.org/where-we-perform.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Click here for detailed parking instructions.</a></li><li>Free street parking is available in the surrounding area. We encourage carpooling when possible.</li><li>By bus: The closest bus stop is at Main St &amp; Cotton St - which is right across the street, a 3 minute walk.
