Whidbey Pottery Salon with Special Guest Nancy Whittaker

The Whidbey Pottery Salon is a place for potters to exchange ideas, be inspired, join their community, learn more about Whidbey and Pacific NW art history, hear career retrospectives, and celebrate the joy and craft of clay. There are are also snacks :-)

We're excited to announce our second meeting of the Whidbey Pottery Salon, with special Guest Nancy Whittaker! Nancy is the owner of the Museo Art Gallery in Langley, we're excited for Nancy to share her experiences in gallery ownership and and helping connect artists and art collectors. Come have a snack and a drink with fellow clay artists, nerd out on clay, guess the Potle, and enjoy a presentation from our special guest.

This event is FREE for all to attend, thanks to a startup grant from the Whidbey Island Arts Council, but donations are greatly appreciated so we can make and keep the Whidbey Pottery Salon self-sustaining into next season and beyond.

Do I have to RSVP to attend?

YES! Like any good party, we need to know who is coming, so we can plan for snacks, drinks and seats.

Why does it say "Location TBA"?

Because you will receive the location of the Whidbey Pottery Salon when you RSVP to attend.

What should I bring to the Whidbey Pottery Salon?

Bring yourself, an ugly mug, or cup, or some kind of drinking vessel. Doesn't have to be pretty... but it shouldn't leak. If you'd like to donate one (or more) to Whidbey Pottery Salon, feel free to leave it with us, and we'll wash it and bring it back to the next salon!

I'd like to volunteer to help with the Salon. Do you need help with setup, cleanup or snacks?

Is the Whidbey Pottery Salon REALLY free to attend?

Absolutely! We believe salons should be free for all to attend so as to provide access for all. However, this doesn't mean that running the Whidbey Pottery Salon doesn't have costs. If you're able to donate any funds to help keep us going into next season and beyond, we are very very grateful!
