Celebrating National Trails Day with a hike on the Sal Branch Trail at Willam Umstead State Park, Raleigh North Carolina.

Join the 52 Hike Challenge North Carolina Chapter on a 2.6 mile hike on the William Umstead State Park Sal's Branch Trail. The hike is in recognition of National Trails Day!When: Saturday, June 1, 2024 . Check in, introductions and giveaways for ticket holders will be at 10:00 am, and the hike starts at 10:15 am. We will meet at the Trail Head past the Visitor Center Parking Lot next to a 2015 White Hyundai Santa Fe.Skill Level: Easy. Approximately 2.6 miles with 183 feet of elevation gain.Be sure to wear adequate clothing, sunscreen, and plenty of water, snacks and electrolytes.
