Come help us honor distinguished members of the American Insitute for Aeronatics &amp; Astronautics (AIAA) Greater Huntsville Section (GHS) at our 70th annual section awards banquet. We hope you can join us on Saturday, 2024 May 18th by 6:00 PM CDT in Jackson Center's Discovery Hall A, nestled in the heart of Cummings Research Park.Schedule of Events<ul><li>5:30 PM CDT - Social (with cash bar)</li><li>6:00 PM - Opening Remarks</li><li>6:30 PM - Dinner</li><li>7:00 PM - Keynote</li><li>7:45 PM - Honors &amp; Awards</li></ul>Tickets are $60 General Admission, $50 AIAA Members, and $40 Students. A table of 8 can be purchased for $1000. Each ticket includes a plated dinner with a choice of entree:<ul><li>Filet Mignon (Chargrilled topped with Burgundy wine)</li><li>Atlantic Salmon (Baked and served with lemon dill or dijon cream sauce)</li><li>Vegetarian Moussaka (Layers of Eggplant, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes &amp; Zucchini Topped with a Creamy Bechamel Sauce)</li></ul>All entrees are accompanied by:<ul><li>Mixed Greens Salad with House Dressing</li><li>Parmesan Gouda Risotto</li><li>Asparagus</li><li>Freshly Baked Rolls &amp; Butter</li><li>Scruptious Desert (Chef's Choice)</li><li>Iced Tea, Water &amp; Coffee</li></ul>The ticket purchaser will need to provide the attendee name and entree selection for each ticket purchased. Selections can be updated until Wednesday May 15th, 8:00 AM CDT. Late registration with assigned entrees will be permitted until the attendance cap of 60 is reached. About our keynote speaker:"A View of the U.S. Aerospace CFD Industry"Dr. Vivek Ahuja (2nd from left) is the CEO and co-founder of Research in Flight, and holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University. Dr. Ahuja’s work over the past decade has focused on theoretical and numerical subsonic and transonic aerodynamics, with an emphasis towards surface vorticity and its applications to attached and separated flows. He has served as the principal investigator on several NASA, NSF and USAF/DoD SBIR and the NASA Transformational Tools &amp; Technologies (TTT) awards pertaining to numerical flow solver development. Dr. Ahuja has held senior software development positions in the U.S. Computational Fluid Dynamics industry over the last decade, such as leading devlopment of the FlightStream® flow solver at Research in Flight.
