What is the walk pace and difficulty?

This walk is an easy level. We will maintain a comfortable and conversational pace to accommodate everyone's needs. Breaks will be incorporated as needed.

Is this event family-friendly?

Yes! We would love families to join. The creative drop-in session at the end is perfect for all ages. The pathway is accessible for prams and The Line events are breast-feeding friendly.

Is the walk wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The walk is not fully wheelchair accessible. At Three Mills, where the event starts, there are cobblestones. Midway on the route, at Twelve Trees Crescent Bridge, there is a ramp with a steep gradient that is not ADA compliant.

Who can come?

Anyone can join who supports migrant and refugee rights. This walk is a safe space for refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and displaced people, so please only join if you are able and willing to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The event is appropriate for all ages.

Can I come alone?

Of course! We understand how daunting it can be coming to an event on your own. Many attendees come to our events solo, and we’ll have conversation prompts and collective activities to help connect you with others.

What will happen if it rains?

We will walk in the rain or in the sunshine, please dress appropriately.
