Guided by the principles of improvisation championed by luminaries like Bobby McFerrin and Rhiannon, you will ve expertly lead you through a series of engaging games and exercises designed to deepen your connection with both yourself and the collective. Suggested donation is $10 per person. Donations received for Chicago Circle Singing are used for space rental, marketing costs.


**Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Please note that this event is best suited for adults. We also welcome older teens with an interest in singing.

Where is this gathering?

We meet monthly at Grace Episcopal Church or “Grace Place” located at 637 South Dearborn in the South Loop, or Printer’s Row neighborhood of Chicago. We are not affiliated with Grace Place, but incredibly grateful to them for hosting us so generously.

Is there parking?

Paid parking is available on the street or in nearby lots. We are also in close proximity to the Red, Brown, Red, Purple, Orange and Green line CTA trains. It’s easy to get to us, no matter where you’re coming from!

Do I need to be an experienced singer?

No! Sincerely, even if you've only ever sung by yourself in the shower... you are welcome. This is space meant to bring all voice types and experience levels together to explore improvisational singing and spontaneous song.

Who leads Chicago Circle Singing?

Davin Youngs is a Chicago based singer, teacher and sound guide, leading individuals and groups into elevated sonic experiences. He uses improvised singing and intentional sound in performance, workshops and private sessions to hold space for change. His performed sound experiences take participants on a mindful journey, incorporating the voice, traditional healing instruments, looping and electronic beats, none of which are ever the same. He has brought improvised singing and sound experiences to companies and organizations like Coca-Cola, Google and Chicago Public Schools and has worked in the private voice studio with prominent artists hip-hop, punk and gospel.
