Earth Week BioBlitz Bird Walk

Founded in 1967, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s mission is to protect and care for Southwest Florida's coastal ecosystems through its focus on Water Quality Research, Policy and Advocacy, Sea Turtles and Shorebirds, Native Landscaping, Habitat and Wildlife Management, and Environmental Education. SCCF is the largest private landowner on Sanibel Island. It manages 1,300 acres of land on Sanibel and Captiva and owns hundreds of additional acres in the Southwest Florida region. SCCF is proud to manage numerous public and non-public trails and preserves, a Native Landscape & Garden Center, Marine Laboratory, Sanibel Sea School, Coastal Watch volunteer program, and more.

Contribute to <a href="https://sccf.org/event/earth-day-bioblitz/" title="https://sccf.org/event/earth-day-bioblitz/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SCCF's 2024 Earth Week BioBlitz Project</a> on iNaturalist by taking part in this guided bird walk on Sanibel! Participants can meet at 7:45 a.m. at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road to car pool to Gulfside City Beach, or those with a City of Sanibel parking pass can park at the destination at 8 a.m.Be sure to bring sun protection and be prepared for bugs.
