Join us for an online training on best practices for accessibility in design &amp; construction under the Fair Housing Act!

This online training will cover the Fair Housing Act, the 7 protected classes, the jurisdictional elements of a fair housing complaint, examples of discriminatory conduct under the design and construction provision of the Fair Housing Act, universal design, visitability, and accessible tiny homes.This session is great for builders, architects, city/state officials in building/permitting departments, advocates, disability groups, property management companies, and the general public.ASL and Captioning providedThe Intermountain Fair Housing Council is committed to providing universal access to all our events. Advance notice is helpful to arrange for some accessibility needs and we are happy to provide interpretations for any language access needs. <h2>About our presenters</h2>Ken Nagy has served the Intermountain Fair Housing Council for many years as a Fair Housing Legal Advocate and has filed nearly 50 fair housing lawsuits in federal court. Mr. Nagy is an extremely dedicated legal scholar and advocate who has worked with great diligence, skill, and effectiveness in his service to the Council and its fair housing clients. Mr. Nagy has offered his skills to the Council as a researcher, advocate and counselor, as well as being a fair housing resource in the Lewiston area.Andrew (Andy) Erstad is the founding partner of erstad,established in 1998. Erstad is motivated by design, program, budget, and creativity. Andy’s experience is in all phases of architecture and design from concept, master planning, and imagery to execution. He has served as Principal-in-Charge for numerous projects throughout Idaho, Washington, Montana, Arizona, Nevada, California, Utah, and North Dakota. Successful and memorable design is a product of collaboration, and Andy is supported by a staff of energetic, gifted, and skilled architects, designers, and managers. This staff allows Andy to lead the firm’s operation, business development, and design efforts with confidence.Zoe Ann Olson is the Executive Director of Intermountain Fair Housing Council, Inc. for over ten years now. Ms. Olson has 14 years of experience as an attorney with Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. Ms. Olson has extensive housing law experience including the FHA and the Idaho housing law. She was a fair housing speaker at the Washington Affordable Housing Association Conference in 2019, at the Housing Solutions Conference in 2020, at the National Low-Income Housing Coalition Member Updates and the Fair Housing in Land Use and AFFH Conference at the University of Idaho in 2021, at the IREM and NARPM Fair Housing Idaho Conference in 2022 and 2023 respectively, and the lead fair housing training throughout Idaho in 2012 to 2023. In 2022, she is the recipient of the Idaho Woman Lawyers Bertha Stull Green Public Service Lawyer Award and the Inns of Court Unsung Hero Award.Linda Lopez-Bosio is the Enforcement Director &amp; AP/AR Specialist of the Intermountain Fair Housing Council, Inc. Ms. Bosio had been with the organization since January 2010. Ms. Bosio has successful fair housing testing experience with the Intermountain Fair Housing Council since 2013. Has had extensive training thru NFHA-National Fair Housing Alliance and ISTEP-Investigative Support for Testing and Enforcement Programs.  She continues to assist the Council to affirmatively further fair housing as testing is conducted, intakes are taken, complaints are filed, referred and/or cases are solved. <h2>About The Intermountain Fair Housing Council:</h2>The Intermountain Fair Housing Council (IFHC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure open and inclusive housing for all persons.
