About this event

  • 3 hours

This three-hour class will begin with basic stitch samples on a cardstock template and then move into design and preparation of the final artwork. Instruction will also cover composition and color, pre-punching holes in stages, how to recover from mistakes and paper collapse and simple framing options.

Participants are encouraged to bring family photo reproductions if they choose (best if printed on matte, not glossy photo paper), however they may also select items from the artist’s extensive photo and postcard collection.

Embroidery kits will be provided including stitch template, needle threader, cardboard, embroidery thread, punching needle and embroidery needles.

Paper and Friends!

Intimate artist studio classes with a paper focus.

Join me in experiencing paper joy as we build skills, knowledge and friendships. Each class will focus on a particular art form centered on paper and adjacent mixed media materials. Classes are 3+ hours long and cap at 8 people. All supplies are provided from my extensive visual resources library. You can expect to finish one complete project in the time allotted and leave with the skills to complete many more.
