Innovation Trail 2024 Kick-Off Tour

B﻿oston'sInnovation Trailwas created to celebrate and share the stories about the past, present, and future of science, technology, medical, business, and social innovation — and give visitors a way to experience it. Like the Freedom Trail, this is a walkable trail with 21 key sites, including four museums, spread across Boston and Cambridge. Our guided walking tours have been awarded the prestigious "Best of Boston" award (2023) by Boston Magazine. The Innovation Trail of Greater Boston is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Help us kick-off our 2024 tour season with a visit to two of Boston's coolest STEM museums — one of which isn't usually open to the public!

What's better than helping us kick-off our 2024 tour season? Helping us kick-off our tour season AND getting some custom Innovation Trail swag!Our opening weekend of Innovation Trail tours celebrates the incredible STEM museums of Boston and Cambridge. No other city has so many STEM-focused museums within walking distance of each other..On this tour, we'll get you inside a very special museum that isn't ordinarily open to the public: Verizon's museum of the telephone, which contains an incredible collection of early telephone equipment, as well as a recreation of Alexander Graham Bell's lab that was overseen by his assistant, Thomas Watson.Then, we'll walk together and discuss several other key places on The Innovation Trail, before wrapping up at Mass. General Hospital's Museum of Medical History and Innovation. For those who'd like some bonus exploration, we'll help you find the Ether Dome — the operating theater in the oldest part of Mass.
