Music From Home

Music From Home is a monthly series of intimate chamber music concerts held in the historic Wagner House. Concerts are scheduled April through December typically on the first Sunday of the month.

Lakewold Gardens is pleased to present Sounds of the Homelands, its 2024 Music from Home season. Each concert program features the music of a particular cultural terroir, brought to life in the garden by renowned performers and guest musicologists for selected performances.This concert features Manuel Ramos on violin and pianist Carlos Salmerón performing music by Mexican composers. The program includes classical as well as more popular selections by iconic Mexican composers Manuel Ponce, Juventino Rosas, Miguel Bernal Jiménez, Agustín Lara, and more.The Sounds of Mexico I &amp; II concerts are acollaboration with the Mexican Consulate in Seattle’s <a href="https://www.mexamnwfestival.com/" title="https://www.mexamnwfestival.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MEXAM NW Festival</a> &amp; Mexico’s National Music and Opera Liaison of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literatura (Coordinación Nacional de Música y Ópera del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura). Ramos and Salmerón are part of the group Concertistas de Bellas Artes.Your ticket includes admission to the gardens starting at 2 pm.
