Queer Eid Night: Chand Raat - tickets avail at door tonight!

Tasnim Islam

Join me for a night of Mehndi/ Henna, Iftar & Bengali snacks, Saffron chai, and Reflections!

Hemp Lab NYC

TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR TONIGHT!hi everyone, Eid-al-Fitr will land between April 9-11 (depending on the moon sighting), so get your mehndi done right before so it's the full color in time for Eid! I wanted to create my own Queer, Muslim-ish/ Spiritual space to recreate one of my favorite parts of growing up as a Muslim - Chand Raat, the night before Eid when everyone gets their mehndi/ henna done, shops for new clothes and jewelry, and eats delicious samosas and chai. And I would love to enjoy it queerified with friends, community members, and any new folks who are interested in building community!! Excited to meet y'all! P.S. there will be dates/ fruit/ Bengali snacks/ chai/ etc. to break fast as well if you're fasting! Asking for a donation between $5- $35 to cover the costs of the Saffron chai, Bengali hot snacks/ iftar, and mehndi labor. But if costs are a deterrent, please still come regardless! https://linktr.ee/tasnim_islamhttps://www.instagram.com/tasnimislamatx/thank you to the Hemp Lab NYC for hosting (https://www.instagram.com/hemplab_nyc/)!open to anyone! centering QTBIPOC!
