I have my own bike I want to tune up, do I need to register for bike tune-up station?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need to register to attend the bike tune-up station. Bikes Not Bombs, a local non-profit, will be doing bike checks on the first come, first serve basis. IF, however, you are also joining the bike ride (and we hope you do!) - please register for the event.

Question 2

What is the Learn-to-Ride for Adults - Basic Skills workshop?

Accepted Answer

This two-hour class is for those who have never learned to ride, haven't been on a bike for years, or who want to work on basic skills such as starting, stopping, turning, and hand signaling. Please note that we do provide bikes and helmets for all Learn-to-Ride workshop participants.

Question 3

What type of on-bike activities will you have for children? Will you provide bikes?

Accepted Answer

We will have 2 types of activities: Youth Learn-to-Ride for children, who do not know how to bike, and an educational obstacle course for children, who already know how to bike. These are drop-in activities. But, when you register, you can request a bike  and a helmet for the duration of activities.
