Practice improv skills in a safe environment for people of color. All experiences welcome!

Whether you are new to improv or have some previous experience, this workshop is designed to support all self-identified people of color. Untold Improv seeks to:<ul><li>inspire uninhibited play and encourage failure through the artform (everything is made up on the spot!)</li><li>create a safe and affirming space for self-identified people of color</li><li>honor our unique ancestral lineages and recognize the power of being in community together</li></ul>Free! (donations appeciated)We're offering this class for FREE to all participants.Like what we're doing? Help us out! We volunteer our time and cover all costs ourselves, so consider making a donation and strengthen our community of POC improvisers. We also accept items like poster paper, blue tape, and more!Workshop structureWe use activities to connect improv to everyday life. Through games, activities, and scene work, participants can embrace failure, get more comfortable being themselves, and connect with others--with a lot of laughter! Expect a mix of individual, partner, and group activities.Physical accessSome activities may be very physical and/or done standing while others will be done sitting. We know bodies move in different ways, and we're happy to adapt our activities to what your body is up for.We're renting space at CounterPulse. The space is ADA accessible, including the restroom.
