About this event

Are you interested in learning how to ride or improve your bike handling skills and confidence?

🚲

Join Black Women Bike DC as we help everyone in the family learn how to ride a bike!
This event includes an Adult Learn to Ride class, a Youth Learn to Ride class, and an Adult Basic Skills Clinic. All ages and all abilities are welcome to participate. Bikes and helmets will be provided, or you can bring your own.

After the clinic, we will have guests from local cycling and advocacy groups providing giveaways and information about bicycling and resources in the areas.

Please wear comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and shoes, and bring plenty of water as learning to ride a bike is exercise!

  • You are age 13 or older
  • You have never been on a bicycle before
  • You have not ridden a bicycle in many years

  • You are ready to graduate from training wheels
  • You have been using a balance bike and are ready to graduate to a pedal bike
  • You have never been on a bicycle before
