SV@Home is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring that everyone in Santa Clara County has access to safe and stable affordable housing. We practice a “Big Tent” approach to housing policy change and bring together likely and unlikely allies to cultivate and unify a diversity of perspectives behind the need for systemic change. SV@Home has long held a tradition to be open and accessible to community members so that we can engage with and support everyone who lives and works in Santa Clara County.

A workshop for faith institutions in San Jose who want to explore using their land to support affordable housing and homelessness solutions

Affordable Housing on Faith Lands: two-part workshop!RSVP now, space is limited!ULI San Francisco (ULI SF) is hosting two in-person workshops to bring together faith institutions, homeless service providers, non-profit organizations, and affordable housing developers to explore how they can partner to provide housing solutions – including emergency interim and permanent affordable housing projects – in support of the City of San Jose.Participants will learn from faith-based and other leaders who have worked to develop housing solutions using their land, and will be introduced to the critical elements of leveraging real estate for housing solutions, including, site feasibility, organization readiness, and joint-venture partnerships.Participants will also complete a questionnaire/assessment to help them determine what next steps they might take to explore their role in providing housing solutions. They will also have an opportunity to participate in a design charrette, an interactive group prototyping exercise on 1-2 emergency interim and/or permanent affordable housing sites.These workshops are being hosted as part of Affordable Housing Month! Note: Workshops build upon each other and we recommend attendees plan to attend both days.
