Slow Food NYC is the New York City chapter of Slow Food, a non-profit, member-supported organization founded in 1989 to counteract the culture of fast food. Slow Food stands against the disappearance of local food traditions and people's dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.Slow Food NYC and our members work for a good, clean, and fair food system for all New Yorkers. Our Urban Harvest program at Ujima Farm in East New York reaches hundreds of NYC kids each summer.

We're back with our first Slow Food NYC Happy Hour of 2024 and are so excited to partner with Gulaabo!Join us on Wednesday, April 10 for a fun, social, and informal evening with Slow Food NYC! Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Or just looking to have a relaxing evening with other “Slow” minded people? We hope to see you there!Gulaabo will generously be extending their happy hour deal for us from 6:30-8pm for us. Enjoy $8 glass of wine, $6 beer, $12 cocktail (spicy margarita, paan, aam ka achar) and $6 samosa, $6 paneer tikka, $9 hara bhara, $8 murgh tikka, and $8 lamb seekh kebab! We will have a floor to ourselves so look out for the Slow Food signage on your way in :) Gulaabo is a love letter to India, in its purest form; authentic, robust, and always the flavorbomb, as it should be. Gulaabo NYC is a celebration of kababs, curries and cocktails perfected with masterful finesse by the acclaimed team behind Baar Baar.
