Join VCE Conservation Biologist Jason Hill to learn about bumble bee identification and ecology. You'll also learn to safely capture, handle, and photograph bumble bees and other insects that we find.

  • Date: 7/28/2024

  • Location: White River Junction, VT. Specific location information will be sent via email.
  • Terrain: Easy-moderate walking with plenty of stops to look at bumble bees and other insects
  • What to Wear: Comfortable clothes for the field, including hiking shoes, long socks, and long pants.
  • What to Bring: Butterfly/insect nets and cameras are encouraged but not required. VCE will bring some extra nets to share.
  • Afterwards: You’re welcome to join us nearby for lunch.
