CMC Mission Milonga: An Intimate Tango Salon

We believe in the power of music to connect people, celebrate cultures and transform lives. Community Music Center (CMC) is a cornerstone San Francisco cultural institution and a vital hub for music education and performance anchored in the Mission District. We envision students and faculty who are engaged and fulfilled in making music together, and audiences who are energized by their experiences. Inspired by their training, our students are empowered to find their own voice, develop lasting relationships, embrace learning, and give back to their communities.

Community Music Center

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, CMC and Tango dance faculty member Sonja Riket host a monthly Milonga.

SCHEDULE:8-9pm: All level class with CMC Faculty Sonja Riket 9pm-12am: Milonga Tango social dance with DJ Lanes Morisson – Live music TBA FREE Entrance. Donations are greatly appreciated!Every 2nd Saturday of the month, CMC and Tango dance faculty member Sonja Riket host a monthly Milonga (Argentine Tango social dance gathering) with a drop-in class and dancing to Tango music from the Golden Era and beyond. This Milonga series will include live music and dance performances by local and international Tango guests.Enjoy dancing in the beautiful Victorian concert hall with smooth wooden floor and outdoor patio! Come to listen and watch or join in the dance. All ages are welcome!Please, bring snacks and refreshments to share!This is a fragrance-free event.
