It will give you a comprehensive understanding of the Japanese short-row technique, its benefits, and how it can be applied in different situations. Mastering this method could open up new possibilities for creating more complex garments, so come along and join this interactive and hands-on session!Level of Experience: IntermediatePlaces are limited to 8 participants. <h2>Structure and outcomes</h2>We will cover the background of short rows and the Japanese short-row technique. This will include an in-depth look at the fundamentals of the method, which can get quite technical. To put the theory into practice, we will make a swatch and test out five different situations.By the end of this workshop, you will learn how to use Japanese short rows as a substitute for any other short row method and you will be able to determine what steps to take when you encounter a short row turn in any given scenario. <h2>Prerequisites and Materials</h2>Prior experience with short rows is optional.<ul><li>You should have basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting and purling stitches.</li><li>While experience with knit and purl decreases is ideal, it's optional as we can practice these techniques.</li><li>You will need DK-weight yarn in a light colour and needles suitable for your chosen yarn.</li><li>You will also need locking stitch markers or bobby pins to complete the task.</li></ul> If you need a date different than the proposed dates or your preferred slot is fully booked, please visit this link to join the <a href="https://go.zaneteknits.com/virtual-workshop-waitlist" title="https://go.zaneteknits.com/virtual-workshop-waitlist" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">waitlist</a>. Full participation requires a device with internet connectivity, a camera, and a microphone. However, having a camera and microphone is optional.Two days before the workshop webinar, you will receive a reminder, a link to the workshop session, and the event handout. It would be helpful to have a printed copy, as a lot of knitting will be involved. Following instructions from a hard copy of the handout will make the process easier. <h2>Other conditions</h2>During the workshop, please ensure you are connected to a stable internet and in a quiet environment. Feel free to keep yourself muted to reduce noise until you are ready to ask a question.Once you've bought your ticket, a refund can be processed if there's a waitlist and someone else can take your place.
