    Aloha Mai Kākou!

Come celebrate Hawaiian culture through the art of lei making on Saturday, June 29th from 4:30-6:30pm in Waimanalo.

In this class you will learn the wili style, or wrapping technique, to make your very own Lei Po’o.

Everything you need will be provided, including a gorgeous assortment of locally sourced fresh foliage & flowers. All you have to bring is your creativity and willingness to learn!

Enjoy the beauty of our Waimanalo farm as you take in the view of Mount Olomana and the Koʻolau while sipping on farm fresh cocktails/mocktails that will be provided for your enjoyment.

We will be starting on time, so please arrive at 4:30pm. Time flies when you are having fun, and lei making takes some concentrated focus, so keep that in mind. Our class is scheduled from 4:30-6:30pm, but if you need more time to finish your lei you are welcome to stay as long as you need.

If you are not feeling well, please choose to protect the health of others. We can make arrangements for you to join us on another date, we host Lei Po'o workshops every month!

Our Lei Po'o class will be held on our family farm in Waimanalo, once you register event details including our address will be sent with you ticket confirmation email.

Looking forward sharing my love of lei making with you!

    Mahalo!

    About the teacher:

Aloha, my name is Kalae Kaina, I am a dancer, artist, farmer, and full time student at UH Mānoa pursuing a double major in Hawaiian Studies and Art. I live in Waimanalo with my family building our dream to steward the land we've been blessed with. I learned lei making from my grandma, Kupuna Kainao Wright, who helped pioneer the Kupuna Program in our public schools in Kailua. I grew up helping her make lei for the May Day Court, canoe races, and countless special occasions.
