Golden Eagle Audubon is dedicated to birding, wildlife education, cultivating native plants, habitat conservation, advocacy for birds, and more. As the Southwest Idaho chapter of the National Audubon Society, we offer birding trips for all ages, monthly educational presentations, community science programs, and work on the conservation and restoration of public lands. Most of our programs are free and open to the public as part of our commitment to serving the community. Space is limited. To affirm a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out in the registration form and a confirmation email is received.Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a different kind of birding experience. Our "Pause, Look &amp; Listen" series incorporates a mindful birding approach to observing birds and being in nature. This is an opportunity to connect with nature in a small-group setting that encourages personal observation and reflection. We will spend the first part of the trip sitting as a group to observe what birds we can see and hear while being stationary. This should facilitate learning from each other while allowing birds to come to us. We will be walking less than 1/4 mile on smooth pavement and/or gravel paths with little to no incline. Then we will explore the Festival grounds at a slow pace with more talking and teaching.All birding levels are welcome. This event is appropriate for those with limited mobility and/or visual impairment.
