Join Community Workshop NOLA for a crash course on designing files to use with the laser cutter and make a pair of acrylic earrings.

Join Community Workshop NOLA for a crash course on how to design files to use for the laser cutter using a free software similar to illustrator called Curve (for mac/ipad users) or Inkscape (for PC users) . Participants will leave with one pair of dangly earrings cut out of 1/8th inch acrylic. Participants must have their own computer with Curve downloaded. This class will focus mainly on how to do basic design work within the software more so then the finished result.N﻿OTE: participants will need to bring their own computer to class with the appropriate software downloaded prior to class. They have a background in metal and wood fabrication, and a love for all things textile. Their works have been exhibited throughout the United States, as well as in Thailand and the Czech Republic. They have participated in numerous artist residencies, including Elsewhere, Penland School of Crafts, and as a Fellow at Pilchuck School of Glass. They love sharing new skills and getting people into the world of craft.
