Come enjoy a special adults-only evening at Foundry Craft Grillery for the Dine, Dream, and Donate for Lakeland dinner fundraiser hosted by the Lakeland PTO to benefit Lakeland Elementary School's playground!This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! You'll get to enjoy delicious food and drinks, share laughs and stories with other parents, grandparents, and caring community members, all while helping our PTO raise funds to enhance the Lakeland playground.This is more than a fun night out. It's about our kids.The school playground is where they run, jump, make friends, and learn skills that only outdoor experiences can offer.Recess is a highlight of the school day and a time of free play that is critical for developing brains.The Lakeland playground is also used by Cherryland Middle School students and is open to the public during off-school hours—it's a space that is enjoyed by many in our community!And right now, it needs our help.Here's how your support will make a positive impact for our kids:We'll use the funds raised from this event to help address immediate safety concerns and needs with licensing-compliant commercial-grade updates—playground items plus constuction and installation costs. Your support will help Lakeland's playground with immediate needs like...• Another tire swing—a student favorite!• Sandbox upgrades (shade, toys, benches, etc)• Upgrades and additions to outdated structures• Repairs to broken structures• Age-appropriate options for PreK studentsLonger term, we are looking at multiple structures needing to be replaced on our Lakeland playground in the next couple of years, and costs for single structures right now are around $20,000-$100,000+ a piece (not including construction or installation) with continued expected price increases.There is no longer money in the bond for our Lakeland playground due to the timeline of when the bond was created and passed and when construction began (and accounting for major factors like COVID).Overall, we hope to meet immediate needs as we're able for our students and community while looking ahead to bigger goals.Let's work together to make it a safer, more fun, and accessible space for every child!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Cocktail Hour | Enjoy beverages and appetizers while connecting with fellow supporters and learning about the current status of Lakeland's playground.7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Buffet Style Dinner | Savor a buffet-style dinner thoughtfully prepared just for our event, followed by a short presentation detailing the specific challenges and needs of our playground.8:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Mix, Mingle, and Music | Conclude the evening on a high note with music mixed for us by our guest DJ. As you continue to mingle with friends, late-night flatbreads and desserts will be available for purchase. A portion of these sales will be generously donated to the Lakeland Playground Fundraiser.Special guests will be present at the event to discuss the challenges the playground is facing and share more about the solutions that will be possible thanks to the funds raised through this event and additional fundraising efforts.A very special thanks to the Foundry team—their generosity will make a positive impact for Lakeland and our local community.We hope to see you for an evening of dining, dreaming, and donating for the Lakeland playground!Can't make it to the event?
