Join us for a free screening of “Our Founding Chefs” episode of acclaimed Netflix series, High on the Hog, followed by a panel discussion.

Join us for the opening event of the weekend-long Black Family History Lab: High on the Hog: Free Screening &amp; Panel at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center Auditorium. “Our Founding Chefs,” a locally filmed episode of the acclaimed Netflix series, discusses the impact of <a href="https://www.monticello.org/jameshemings/" title="https://www.monticello.org/jameshemings/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">James Hemings</a>, a renowned chef enslaved by Thomas Jefferson, on America’s palate.
